Pray for Sydney don't be a rat or a snitch
They used to be until very recently! :( Unfortunately, they have taken off the hours open on Sunday off of their front door (I ate there again 2 days ago), so I think they are closed on Sundays from now on. I also tried to eat on a Sunday a few weeks ago and they were closed. Hope this helps!
I may be wrong, buy I think they serve it everyday.
Closed
They will be closed until Tuesday
Makes me no difference,i can eat anything they got on the menu,... IT'S ALL THAT GOOD N THEN SOME!!!!...HANDS DOWN!!!😉
Did not receive service. Others came in after we did and their order was taken before us.. Got tired if waiting so we got up and left.
Reasonably priced specials and entrees. Husband had whole catfish and was pleased with it. I had chicken liver special; large portion however most of the livers were a bit over cooked and coating was hard as well as too salty. Cake dessert really good. Staff very nice.
Best home cooking around. Great selection and prices. Must try.
Very good food. Mostly a southern kitchen type of food with burgers, chicken dishes, seafood and the like. This place has very nice staff and seemed to be good service during my visit. The decor is nice and updated as well as the dinning room being very clean. Tables had ads for local business inside the table top. Had been a while since I saw this and was pleasantly surprised that this is still a thing. The prices were very affordable if not a little on the cheaper side of things. A regular meal is probably going to run you around $10 or so a head.Overall would highly recommend for any meal of the day.PROS:-excellent tasting food-clean dining room-cheap prices-friendly staff-everything seems to be made fresh that dayCONS:-the place is packed often so you may need to arrive early to allow for a wait-breakfast stops at 10:30 instead of being an all day thing
I went in hungry and happy left hungry and mad ordered 2 piece fish with bone ate 1 THE other piece tasted like mud my fiance was fairly happy except no refil on tea. Then the ticket 30 dollars i would have given 30 cents no hushpuppies given out no more best thing there atleast your full when u leave rant over!!!
Great food and friendly people 👌😁
Best catfish, good home cooking!
I love home cooking and Libbys is the best in north Alabama. The catfish is delicious. The vegetables were just like mom's. I recommend this place to anyone who wants home cooking the southern way. Thanks ladies!
Good burgers, pleasant atmosphere
Food was absolutely delicious
Best catfish and chicken livers. Libby and her crew do an awesome job.
Down home, friendly, tasty. This is one of those restaraunts you can keep coming back to and they'll start calling you by name if you get to know the ladies that work there. Great place with plenty of seating. The portion sizes are great too!
1st visit to Libby's and I am sad to say I have missed out. You won't find better food or folks anywhere, and the selection is great A must visit in North Alabama
Best catfish I've had in Alabama. You better be hungry cause portions are hefty. Food hot cooked to perfection and delicious. What more could ask for???
Libby's can highly recommend the trip there was very worth it.
A great local restaurant. I had the Country Fried Steak and it was very good. Portions are good. Prices are good. A great place for home cooked southern food
The food was very good this time. A man in his 60's or maybe a little older was walking with a walker slipped and feel. Not 1 employee from the restaurant assisted the man. Only customers helped the man up. I think its a shame that this restaurant didn't care enough to ask him if he was okay or help him.
Got our foot in the door at 7:30 pm on Friday night. Was grumpily and hatefully told by a worker across the room " we are closed". The web info and the operating hours on the door said that they were open until 8:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. We drove quite a way just to eat there. We will not make that mistake again. There were also 2 other couples who were trying to come In as we were leaving.
Catfish was delicious. Friendly atmosphere. The fried green tomatoes were delicious
Authentic Southern cooking at a popular local restaurant. We've passed here many times attending dog shows, enjoyed their food and friendly staff at the arena, finally dined there and it was delicious. I had the 8 piece shrimp and the breading was light so it didn't hide the shrimp or its flavor. Sides were all tasty and the meal for two was very reasonable.
THE FOOD IS GOOD AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT.
We went a out 3:30 pm. The specials were only good intil 3:00....our fault. We found the regular prices a little high. Soft drinks were $2.50. Service was good. Food was ok. Don't know if we will go there again. For the price we paid, would rather have more atmosphere.
Great service. Country fixings. Good price.
Great food and service the best. The menu choice is perfect and priced very well. Highly recommended.
This was a very nice surprise! We were short on time between showing houses and dropped in... Very "Mom and Pop" vibe (which we like) The portions were large, service was wonderful and I'd highly recommend the fried catfish!! 👍
I love this place! Wait time was short, food was in front of us in no time at all and exceptional servers, let me tell you!. Would recommend Libby's for breakfast, lunch or supper, dressed up it in jeans.
Great good food and service
Very good food!! 👍👍Service is excellent. All around great restaurant
Very good meal and good service as always
Very good service. Great food! If you haven't tried the catfish,it is delicious.
I wasn't impressed my fish was cooked too fast almost burned on outside an under cooked on the inside. The waitress was very helpful in returning back to kitchen to rebook. Replacement was a bit better, but not pleased with the taste of the fish. MADISON'S location is the best.
I only had breakfast here but it was great. Southern cooking like I love and didn't have to wait long for it either which was good since I was eating before work.
I've always enjoyed eating at Libby's, gotta have the fried catfish. Tonight we had a surprise birthday party for one of our family Aunts. It had been booked some time ago but sadly the folks at Libby's never realized the fact that this was Iron Bowl day and they had plans to close at noon and enjoy the evening at home watching the game. However when they realized the oversight they called the family member who had planned it to inform them that though they had closed at noon they would reopen this evening for our event. That says a lot about Libby and her folks, they could have just said Oh well and enjoyed the evening off but they had a commitment and they stuck to it. Pay them a visit and enjoy some great food and friendly service but you better be awfully hungry if you order the large catfish plate!
Great breakfast, good food, coffee, and service. Worth a trip. I've never been there for lunch, but I that would be as well.
Been going there for years went there recently in the past week was the worst food I ever eat even my girlfriend's liver steak and stuff no flavor. Service was poor. Add to wait wait wait mistake. There was no seasoning on the none of us just tasted terrible my steak taste like liver.I even told them and they didn't even offer to do anything about it I don't think I'll be going back... long-time customer. Even my girlfriend said the food was no good the salad I had was about the best thing in the whole meal it was not to good.. server was slow about bringing things and doing things I had to ask other people.. even told us to is nasty.
Great catfish and they have lunch and dinner specials.
I pulled my rig in there due to a pickup down the road yet appt time was hours away. I ate lunch, dinner, and breakfast there during that time length. Exceptionally priced, great portions, friendly staff, and a lovely clean restaurant & restroom. It's just like a family in there. :) For lunch I had one of their specials: chicken & dumplings, mashed potatoes and gravy, and purple hull peas. For dessert (included in the meal along with the tea), they delivered the most delicious lil piece of yellow cake with chocolate icing. Oh, my goodness, it was so good! Pictured is my view and my dinner: Ribeye, loaded baked potato, fried okra, and texas toast. So super good! And this morning, a simple breakfast: fried eggs, grits, toast, and bacon. Y'all better stop by if you get a chance! I know I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again! 😁🙏🏻❤👍
Great service and good food. Enjoyed it
Delicious food, great service by our waiter. However the cashier was not very impressive.
Libby's is an institution in these parts. You know that winter will be here soon when the chicken stew is on the menu. Get it with a grilled cheese. Add bacon if you want to let love into your life.
Good Ole Southern Cooking and Hospitality. Grew up with my Grandma bringing me here.
I went there to have fish but the waitress said they cook everything in the same oil. I'm allergic to shellfish so I had to settle for a hamburger steak. My wife had catfish and our food was great and fair priced.
Best place for catfish in Morgan County.
Great staff, Cole slaw is bland, fried green tomatoes are just ok but catfish is great
I had breakfast here. The food was real good. The facility is country style with a local diner atmosphere. The service was a little slow, but my coworkers and I ordered a lot of food. It's a little ways from the interstate, but it's exactly where the map says it is. My coworkers and I will make this a routine visit for breakfast on our last day of work.
It's a very good place to eat I had the seafood platter it was very good.
Always enjoy going to Libbys. Great food and clean
Nice family style restaurant with great food and service!
ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD
